As our first stop, we chose a bean field where a friendly farmer was harvesting a bit of the
crop for his dinner.What especially caught my eye was a little conical shrine
made of sticks and straw with an opening spanning a quarter of its circumference.

Inside the shrine was a bas relief of a couple, apparently venerated as someone's ancestors. In front
of the figures were half-burned candles and two banners with large Chinese
characters which shed no light on the details of the obviously religious site.
