ADAA (Art Dealers Association of America). An invitation-only group of some of America's most prestigious dealers.

Art Gallery Worldwide. Artwork in different styles and media. Website offers a wide variety of features and services, enabling customers to buy and sell their art.

Art Market/Artprice. Worldwide art auction database; sliding-scale subscription fee allows you to participate at your chosen level.

ArtCareer. For the visual artist. Post your résumé free; network with art-job recruiters; "access to career guidance".

ArtJob. Another fee-based job posting/job search service. 3-month, 6-month and one-year subscriptions are $25, $40, and $75 (USD) respectively.

ArtNet. View works by 16,000 artists; 1,300 member galleries. All sorts of extras.

Art-Online. Searchable worldwide database of artists, art venues, employment opportunities, art markets, events, more.

Arts Resources and Arts Directories. Just two subsections of the Open Directory Project's massive compilation. Bring lunch.

BoundlessGallery. On this cool site, find, buy and sell art online; find local art (NY, LA, elsewhere); search directories for info on art you seek.

Digital Consciousness. Maintains selected artist portfolios, including that of StickYourNeckOut contributor Elissa Dorfman.

Entourage Arts. Non-photorealistic rendering entourage elements for architectural graphics, architectural images and architectural illustration.

IFAR. "The International Foundation for Art Research (IFAR) is a not-for-profit educational and research organization dedicated to integrity in the visual arts. IFAR offers impartial and authoritative information on authenticity, ownership, theft, and other artistic, legal, and ethical issues concerning art objects."

IRAA. "The International Registry of Artists and Artwork (IRAA) is an authority in the registration of professional artists and artwork, and as such, serves anyone interested in art—including museums, historians, commercial galleries, educators, collectors, archivists, scholars, fine art publishers, universities, curators, estate managers, students, art insurers, and of course, artists." A database nearing 100,000 participating artists; nominal fee for life registration.

Interpol. Stolen art page. Resources to combat a thriving worldwide trade in stolen art and antiquities.

Museum Employment Resource Center. Another fee-based résumé- and job-posting service. In the $25 USD range for a 24-week posting in a single category; $5 each additional category.

Object ID. Protect your art with this theft prevention protocol. "Object ID is an international standard for describing cultural objects. It has been developed through the collaboration of the museum community, police and customs agencies, the art trade, insurance industry, and valuers of art and antiques."

Trace. A UK outfit specializing in finding stolen art and valuables.

World Art Portfolio. Custom online artist portfolios, galleries, website building, more.

World Wide Arts Resources.  A portal: buy, sell artworks. Setup a portfolio online. Scout resources, from museums and galleries to individual artists. Educational and teacher resources. (Lots of ads for Dick Blick art materials.)
